On this Resources Website you will find everything you need to download, install and run Tornado for the first time.
Step 1. Get your license key
You will need a license key to use Tornado to generate documents.
If you don't have a license key, you can obtain a Tornado trial license key here.
Step 2. Download and Install Tornado
From the Software Download catgeory you will find a ZIP file with everything you need to run Tornado.
Please refer to the Tornado Getting Started Guide under the Documentation category, to prepare your environment and install Tornado.
Step 3. Configure Tornado
Once Tornado is installed, you can run the engine and connect to it using a normal web browser.
From the Configuration Tab you can then enter your license key and provide other information needed by Tornado to successfully generate documents.

Once the configuration is in place, from the Status Tab you will need to Restart Tornado for the changes to take effect.
Step 4. Generate a document for the first time
Tornado comes bundled with a sample template called WelcomeTemplate.docx, which you can use to test that everything is set up correctly.
Using a web browser, connect to Tornado and from the Status Tab, locate the WelcomeTemplate.docx.
Click on the Test button to generate a document using the template.

Step 5: Connect your application to Tornado
To connect your application to Tornado:
- Choose an article from the Code Samples category that suits your platform.
- Download the provided code sample.
- Modify the code sample to point to your Tornado instance.
- Run the code to produce your a document from your application.
