Is it scalable?

Yes it is.

With Docmosis-Java the "converter" component, which is the most processing intensive component, can be optionally be run on a server separate from the main java application.  That server can run any number of converters and the host running the main application (which includes the core Docmosis engine) doesn't need to have any. Adding converters in this manner means the processing load can be distributed and multiple converters means that multiple documents can be generated in parallel.

With Tornado, the "converters" are managed by Tornado.  By default Tornado will start with maximum number of converters permitted by the license.  It is possible to run multiple copies of Tornado, spread across multiple servers, to achieve the same result described for Docmosis-Java above.
