Example Letter with Signature (Adobe Sign)

Docmosis can help prepare a document for signing using signature services such as Adobe Sign.

You can embed the Adobe fields you need directly into the Docmosis template, so those fields then appear in the document that needs to be signed.  Adobe will then find and use those fields as part of the signing process.

An Adobe Sign signature field can be added to a template by using the following text:

{{*FullName_es_:signer1:fullname}}

This is an instruction to Adobe Sign to place the name of "Signer number one" at this location.

It is just plain text in the template - so Docmosis ignores it - and it will still be present in the generated document. When the PDF is sent for signing Adobe searches for the fields in the syntax it knows and the signing App uses them.

The slideshow above shows the 4 stages of the document:
  1. The original template - Contains both Docmosis and Adobe Sign fields
  2. The pdf document created by Docmosis - The Docmosis fields have been filled in and the adobe Sign fields have been left untouched
  3. The ready to sign pdf - Submitted to Adobe Sign and emailed to signee
  4. The final signed pdf - Completed by the signee
The second page of this example template shows some common fields types that can be inserted into the document to be completed during signing.

For more information on using Adobe Sign fields please consult the Adobe Text Tag documentation.
